What is the difference in Botox Cosmetic versus Juvéderm and other dermal fillers?
Treatments such as Botox Cosmetic and Juvéderm injectable dermal fillers can enhance the way you look. Physicians often will use multiple products, depending on the patient’s needs. Botox Cosmetic is often used to relax the dominant frown muscles between the eyebrows, allowing the 2 vertical lines between the brows, often referred to as the “11’s” to temporarily diminish in appearance. Juvéderm dermal fillers work differently, by instantly filling in and smoothing out wrinkles and folds that look like the parentheses along the side of your nose and mouth, creating a smooth, natural look and feel.
Juvederm is an injectable gel that replaces the hyaluronic acid your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.
Will the results look natural?

How soon will I see a difference?
You can expect to see immediate results after your Juvéderm treatment.
Visible results typically last 6 to 9 months, but can last up to 12 months.
How long do Juvéderm treatments take?
The treatment takes approximately 20 minutes; however, we do allow time for the area to be treated to numb with a topical numbing cream or a dental block, so allow 45–60 minutes for your appointment.
